A little step to your own customization.....
These pages are dedicated to help you understand what
it takes to customize AutoCAD and along the way hopefully
teach you how to do some of your own small and not to
complex customizing. You won't find an easier way to
teach yourself AutoLISP as fast and as fun as you will here. You will find these entries
to be some of the first
into a long line of teach yourself AutoLISP and DCL
(Dialog Control Language). If you find these useful
please let us know, and if you want to learn something
please also let us know what topics you want to see.
AutoLISP - AutoLISP is an interpreted program language and is not compiled.
Although it is old and not as fast as ARX or VBA it is
the easiest and quickest way to customize your AutoCAD.
This language has been in AutoCAD since way back in later
versions of 2.
DCL (Dialog Control
Language) - DCL is old but yet not that old. It has been
around since R12 for DOS. It added a new element to the
AutoCAD environment. This added a great interface for
users to easily pick up new commands and routines faster,
no more memorizing those variables.
I hope you will find each and every tutorial very
useful in your everyday use of AutoCAD.
